Melbourne again!

We’ve started filming a large project for a shipping company called Poags, part of P&O.
Their ports are all over Australia, which requires some significant travelling around.
We were in Melbourne last week, to film the loading and unloading of cars on a ship
specifically designed for vehicles of all sizes. The next day we filmed the handling of
cargo containers on a cargo ship and procedures for pedestrians in the areas. The whole
dock is a place where the size of a man is completely insignificant in comparison to all of
the monstrous machines around him. Deaths occur at these docks and our safety was a
constant issue.

We were staying in Melbourne’s central business district, in a 5 star hotel. I’ve never been
in a 5 star hotel before.

It has a 15 floor atrium. With very scary elevators.

I shared a room with my colleague Alex, and by room I mean huge apartment.

This week me and Mike are heading off to Western Australia. We’re flying to Perth
tomorrow (5 hour flight), and will drive to Bunbury on arrival (3 hours).
