Hezemans Karting Commercial

It’s been a long time since I’ve been this excited over a project. And by excited, I mean continue all night and eventually run out of coffee, while noticing it’s somehow getting light outside already. This is caused by several things.
One: I had a lot of creative control over the project.
Two: technically it all went excellent. No problems with the compressed Canon 7D files because of the fantastic Cineform NeoScene codec, making editing in Full-HD a bliss. Because the editing is fast, and without problems, I can actually spend my time editing and being creative instead of solving problems or waiting for rendering. Adobe Dynamic Link helps even more in cutting down waiting time, because it removes the rendering step between After Effects and Premiere. In a project like this, with 4/10 shots needing help from After Effects, it’s a real time saver.
Three: The end result is good. It’s the best thing I’ve edited in a long, long time. The last somewhat comparable project was in 2006.
Four: The project did not cause me much stress. While there was a deadline, it was quite makeable, and there was a good amount of time to polish the final product.
