Kees van Houten is my grandfather, and he plays the church organ. He’s also written several books, and is more or less an expert on works by Bach.

This project consisted of one part webdesign, and one part video production. Making a new website for my grandfather is something I’ve wanted to do for some time now. Since I’ve bought the 7D camera some time ago, the idea to record a video with him playing the church organ naturally arose, and so I did. I recorded the whole session 4 times, and mixed them together with Sony Vegas. Unfortunately, editing the clips that come out of the 7D was much harder then expected. I ended up converting the clips with Cineform Neoscene, after which editing was… amazing. It was so fluid and fast, the preview was full resolution, crystal sharp, and displayed at 25fps without pre-rendering.

So anyway, the video is now on the main page of the website. It’s entirely in Dutch though.
