Vuurvlinder Musical 2009
posted on Sep 14 by Floris in the Projects categoryJust like last year, the children in the last group of my old school performed a musical to celebrate them leaving that school and continuing upon the path of adulthood. Unlike last year, I now had a colleague to do this project with and thus we were able to help them a lot more. My boss allowed us to use a large projection screen and beamer, along with some equipment to make it all work. We got three cameras, a sound mixer and some cables at school, and we made a few animations for scene transitions in the musical. We weren’t just providing technical assistance this time, we were helping in the development of the story as well.
For the post production, we again designed an artful DVD cover and label, as well as a DVD menu and a making-of video. The production of the discs and covers itself we decided to send to a professional company this time, who can do this kind of work far more professional then we can, and we’re very happy that we did, because it turned out fantastic.

Hey Peter,
Thanks, but I really can’t take credit for the tunnel. It’s an animation created for the television series Stargate, and I didn’t make it. Everything else in that animation was made by me and my colleague though, including the clock design.
